Today's bias: BUY dips. Gold is at 4,139 (Swissquote XAU/USD bid 4,139.48, 08:43 PKT), sitting inside the 4126–4140 sell zone after a rally of almost $200 since yesterday morning. Buyers wait lower at 4035–4045.

Gold had its biggest daily gain since August on Wednesday. Reuters had spot up 3% at $4,046.74 at 17:34 PKT, with a session high of $4,050.99, as Democrats took control of both the Senate and the House and the dollar tumbled (Kitco / Reuters). The rally kept going in Asia: spot broke $4,100 and traded at $4,103.36, up 1.06% on the day, by 06:13 PKT (PANews), and COMEX December futures cleared $4,100 for the first time since 22 October (Trend).

The sweep raised hopes for an end to the US-Iran war. Brent dived nearly 9% overnight to below $100 and was near $93.50 in Asian trade, about 20% lower this week. The US 10-year yield fell 6 bp overnight and another basis point in Tokyo to 4.87%, the 2-year fell to 4.56%, and the dollar hit a one-month low of $1.1273 per euro (Investing.com / Reuters). The Fed is still the brake: CME FedWatch showed an 82% chance of a December hike, and Capital Economics' Hamad Hussain said a hawkish Fed limits the scope for further gains (Kitco / Reuters).

Today's plan comes from EFMS TRADE's daily gold plan for 5 Nov (GOLD MARKET OUTLOOK | 05 NOV 2026), which replaces the weekly levels for today. He marks the H1 trend bullish after the breakout above the falling trendline and draws a dip into 4045–4035 before the next leg up. On H4 the path runs into the 4126–4140 FOMC sell zone (inside the daily order block at 4103–4140), where he expects sellers, and price is already there. No turning point was drawn today, so the weekly turning point (3840) is shown for reference. The video had no transcript yet, so levels were read from the chart drawings and are approximate.

Today's signals

SetupEntryStopTargetsR:RTrigger
Buy · Buy scalping4035–404540224064 / 40862.56RPullback holds 4045–4035 with the H1 trend still bullish
Sell · FOMC sell / daily OB4126–414041554102 / 40842.23RBearish rejection on M15/M30 inside 4126–4140

None of these is live until its trigger. Zones, stops, targets and triggers are exactly as in today's plan (R:R at the second target). The buy is with the H1 trend; the sell is a counter-trend fade of the zone price is in now, so it needs a clear rejection, not a blind limit order. The 3978–3998 fibo demand, the 3926–3943 H1 order block and the far sell at 4257–4290 are too far from price for today. Every signal stays on this week's signal results.

Price against the weekly plan

LevelWhat it means today
4257–4313Daily order block. Only if the rally extends.
4126–4140Today's sell zone (FOMC sell, inside the 4103–4140 daily OB). Price is in it now.
4,139Price now (Swissquote, 08:43 PKT).
4086–4102The H1 zone price broke above overnight. Sell target 1 is 4102.
4084 / 4072Previous week's high (sell target 2) and previous day's high (approx.).
4035–4045Today's main buy, with the H1 trend.
3978–3998H4 fibo demand, for a deeper dip.
3840Weekly turning point.

The weekly bias was SELL rallies, but price is now far above every weekly sell zone: the 3940–3950 and 3976–4001 sells are past their stops, so the weekly plan is only context today. The buy scalp is about $95 lower, a big but possible move with jobless claims out and payrolls tomorrow. The FOMC sell is live territory now, but only on a bearish M15/M30 rejection; an H1 push through 4155 cancels it. Yesterday's three signals all expired: the buys never came close and the 3984–3998 sell was run straight through without a rejection. See this week's outlook for the full weekly map.
