Key takeaways

  • October 2026 was FXD's first month of daily gold signals: 14 signals over five trading days, 26–30 October.
  • Net result: −0.83R. One signal reached its final target (+2.17R), three were stopped out (−1R each), four closed at break-even after TP1, three were not triggered and three are unverified.
  • The weekly bias, sell rallies below 4046, had the direction right: spot gold went from 3,995.81 to 3,875.19 over the week, and it never closed above 4046 on the H4.
  • The bias was early: gold closed Thursday at 4,021.13, above the previous Friday's 3,995.81, and the whole drop came on Friday.
  • Every number here comes from the published signal files on /signals; nothing was edited after the fact.

October 2026 in one table

FXD posts up to three gold signals each weekday, taken from that day's plan, and scores each one against spot gold's high and low. The rules are in how to read a gold trade signal. Signals started on Monday 26 October, so October has one week of results.

WeekPublishedTriggeredHit a targetStoppedNet R
26–30 Oct 2026141113−0.83R
October 2026141113−0.83R

"Triggered" counts every signal that was not marked "not triggered", the same way /signals counts it, so it includes the 3 unverified signals. "Hit a target" counts signals that closed with a positive result. Four more reached TP1, but price came back to entry before TP2; because the stop moves to entry after TP1, those closed at 0R.

"Unverified" means the trigger needed a candle close that landed within a dollar of the level, so we can't say for sure whether the signal was live. Those three count as triggered but carry no R, and each one's note on /signals shows both possible readings.

Best and worst signal

Best: the Monday 26 October breakout buy at 3995–4002, stop 3984, targets 4023 / 4030. The 18:30 PKT M30 candle dipped to 3992.8 and closed back inside the zone at 3997.2. TP1 came at 19:35 PKT and TP2 at 19:55 PKT, for +2.17R.

Worst: the Friday 30 October sell below 3977 at 3972–3977, stop 3992. The H1 closed below 3977 at 12:00 PKT and price retested the zone at 13:00, but it rallied to the 3992 stop at 13:45 PKT before TP1 at 3952: −1R. Gold then kept falling and closed the day at 3,875.19 (FinanceFeeds), well below both targets. The idea was right and the timing was not, which is exactly what a stop is for. The other two −1R results were the Monday sell at 3990–3995 and the Tuesday sell at 4004–4009.

What the weekly bias got right and wrong

The 26–30 October weekly outlook (levels credited to EFMS TRADE) said: sell rallies, turning point 4046, buy only after the 3941 yearly low is swept and reclaimed.

CallWhat happenedVerdict
Bias: sell ralliesSpot gold went from 3,995.81 (23 Oct close) to 3,875.19 (30 Oct close), down 3.74% on the weekRight
Turning point 4046, H4 close above = trend changeGold spiked to about 4,083 after the Fed on Wednesday night, then was back at 4,027 by 11:22 PKT Thursday; no H4 close above 4046, so the bias stoodRight
Favourite sell 4103–4140Price never got there; the week's high was the post-Fed spike to about 4,083Not tested
Favourite buy 3941–3952, after a sweep and reclaim of 3941Friday broke below 3941 and closed at 3,875, with no reclaim. That is the outlook's "Breakdown" scenario, not the buyBuy never set up
TimingMonday to Thursday stayed between about 4,000 and 4,050 at each morning brief, apart from the Fed spike, and gold closed Thursday at 4,021.13, above the previous Friday's close; the whole drop came on FridayEarly

The lesson for the record: in a week like this, most daily signals near the price hit TP1 and then returned to entry. Moving the stop to entry after TP1 turned four of them into 0R instead of losses.

Gold in October 2026, for context

Gold fell 7.22% in October, its second monthly decline in a row, and 3.74% in the last week alone (FinanceFeeds, 31 Oct 2026). Strong US data kept a December Fed hike in play: Q3 GDP grew 3.4% annualised (Mitrade). In Kitco's weekly survey after Friday's drop, 10 of 16 Wall Street analysts (63%) expected lower prices next week (Kitco, 30 Oct 2026).

Next up is the October US jobs report on Friday 6 November. US clocks went back on 1 November, so 8:30 New York time is now 18:30 PKT; see US economic news times in Pakistan time.

How to use this record

  • Check /signals for this week's live record, and /levels for every past weekly turning point.
  • Size every trade so that a −1R day like 27 or 30 October is small. Our risk page shows how.
  • Read "not triggered" as a good outcome: the plan's condition never came, so there was no trade.
