How results are checked

Each signal is checked against spot gold's high and low for the day, from a named price source. A result is recorded only when the prices show which level was hit first; when a stop and a target fall inside the same stretch of prices and the order can't be confirmed, the signal is marked unverified rather than guessed. Entry is the middle of the entry zone. R is the distance from entry to the result divided by the distance from entry to the stop, so −1R is a full stop-out and +2R is twice the risk. Results assume the full position and ignore spread, swap and slippage, which make real results worse.

The levels of a published signal are never changed after the market has traded them. If one was mistyped, it gets a dated note and its result is judged on the level as published. See the corrections policy.
