Gold at 3,943 (09:06 PKT) as the dollar slips on early Democratic midterm wins. Buy dips at 3900–3911; sell a rejection at 3984–3998. ADP 18:15 PKT.
Gold at 3,900 (08:30 PKT) after a gap up, on the 3898 turning point. Sell a rejection at 3940–3950; below 3873 opens 3795. ISM 20:00 PKT.
What is gold doing today, Mon 2 Nov 2026?
Gold (XAUUSD) traded at 3,900 at 08:30 PKT on Mon 2 Nov 2026. The bias is sell rallies with the turning point at 3898. High-impact news today: US ISM Manufacturing PMI (Oct) at 20:00 PKT.
Today's bias: SELL rallies. Gold is at 3,900 (Kitco spot bid 3,900.00, 08:30 PKT), sitting on today's 3898 turning point, under the 3940–3950 gap-fill sell zone.
Gold opened the week with a small gap up after Friday's crash to a one-year low. Spot gold was at 3,894.89 at 05:42 PKT, up 0.5%, near its lowest level since October 2025 (Rallies.ai). Kitco shows +25.60 (+0.66%) on the day, with a range of 3,879.40 to 3,915.90 so far. Indian bullion desks had spot around 3,900, up nearly 1%, with silver near $49.75, up about 2% (Goodreturns).
The bounce is small because the Fed is the main weight on gold. Markets price about a 75% chance of a December rate hike, and three Fed officials argued on Friday for further increases; physical buying in India and China is weak (Rallies.ai). The Fed held at 3.75%–4.00% last Wednesday, with two members voting for an immediate hike (Goodreturns). A tech-led stock sell-off and margin calls also forced selling of gold last week (Whalesbook). The help today comes from oil: Brent fell 1.8% to $111.43 and WTI 2% to $102.04 in Asia, after reports that President Trump prefers more time for diplomacy with Iran before deciding on military action (Investing.com). Cheaper oil eases inflation and rate-hike worries.
Today's plan comes from EFMS TRADE's daily gold plan for 2 Nov (GOLD MONDAY PREDICTION | 02 NOVEMBER 2026), which replaces the weekly levels for today. Turning point 3898: an M30 close above 3898–3902 favours 3928–3933, and a break there opens 3988–4000; a close back below points to 3873, then 3795–3780. The H1 trend is still bearish and many traders bought too early near the weekly low, so EFMS expects the gap to fill toward 3930–3950 and then reject. Monday usually builds a range, so wait for confirmation.
| Setup | Entry | Stop | Targets | R:R | Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sell · Gap-fill rejection | 3940–3950 | 3968 | 3898 / 3873 | 3.13R | Gap filled and rejected; sell confirmation on M15/H1 |
| Sell · Breakdown below 3873 | 3873–3880 | 3895 | 3795 / 3780 | 5.22R | M30 close below 3873, sell the retest |
| Buy · Turning point retest | 3898–3902 | 3884 | 3933 / 3988 | 5.50R | M30 close above 3898/3902, buy the retest; TP2 only if 3933 breaks |
None of these is live until its trigger. Zones, stops, targets and triggers are from the EFMS daily plan; R:R is measured from the middle of the entry zone to the second target. The longer sells at 3972–4001 and 4020–4040, the buy scalp at 3875–3884 and the H4 buys at 3835–3865 are further from price or overlap the setups above, so they are not today's signals. Every signal stays on this week's signal results.
| Level | What it means today |
|---|---|
| 3976–4001 | Weekly retracement sell; EFMS longer sells 3972–3988. |
| 3950 | Weekly flip: an H1 close above cancels the 3940–3950 sell. |
| 3940–3950 | Weekly "trapped buyers" sell and today's gap-fill sell zone. |
| 3933 | Today's upside target; a break opens 3988–4000. |
| 3,900 | Price now (Kitco, 08:30 PKT). |
| 3898 | Today's turning point. |
| 3873 | First support: an M30 close below opens 3795 / 3780. |
| 3840–3875 | Weekly demand 1. A break of 3840 is the weekly turning point and opens 3674 / 3631. |
Closest to triggering is the turning point buy, right at price, but it needs an M30 close above 3898–3902 and a retest. The breakdown sell is about $25 lower and needs an M30 close below 3873. The gap-fill sell is the plan's favourite and the weekly best sell, about $40 higher. See this week's outlook for the full weekly map.
