**Are paid gold signals better than free ones?** Not necessarily. Price says nothing about quality. A trustworthy signal source, free or paid, shows a stop loss, targets, a trigger and a date on every call, publishes its losses as well as its wins, and never asks for money, crypto or your trading-account login.

> **Key takeaways**
>
> - Paying for signals doesn't make them better. What matters is whether every signal has a **stop loss, targets, a trigger and a date**.
> - Be wary of any group that **only posts wins**, deletes losing calls, or shows a win rate without the risk per trade.
> - Never send money, crypto or your trading-account login to anyone offering signals or "account management".
> - A good signal source tells you **when not to trade**, for example around FOMC or NFP.
> - FXD signals are free, educational and published with the stop, risk-to-reward and trigger in full.

## Free vs paid: what's actually different?

| | Typical free channel | Typical paid group | What you should look for either way |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Price | Free | Monthly fee | Price says nothing about quality |
| Stop loss shown | Sometimes | Sometimes | **Always**, before entry |
| Track record | Rarely | Screenshots of wins | Every call, including losses, with timestamps |
| Risk per trade | Rarely stated | Rarely stated | A stated risk and R:R for each setup |
| Explanation | Short | Varies | Why the level matters and what cancels it |
| Upsells | Often to a paid VIP tier | Account management, "copy trading" | No pressure, no DMs asking for money |

## Seven checks before you trust any signal source

1. **Is there a stop loss on every signal?** A signal without a stop isn't a plan.
2. **Is there a trigger?** "Buy gold now" is weaker than "buy 3941–3952 after a sweep and an H1 close back above".
3. **Are losses shown?** Ask for the full history, not a highlight reel.
4. **Is the risk-to-reward stated?** A 90% win rate means little if one loss wipes out ten wins.
5. **Is it dated?** Levels go stale. Every post should show when it was written.
6. **Does it warn you about news?** Good sources tell you when to stay flat.
7. **Do they ever ask for money or logins?** If yes, walk away.

## Red flags of signal scams

- "Guaranteed" profit or a fixed daily return.
- Pressure to join "before spots close".
- Requests to deposit with a specific unregulated broker through their link.
- Offers to trade your account if you share your password.
- Accounts that copy a real brand's name and logo and message you first.

If something like this happens in FXD's name, it isn't us. We never message first, and we never ask for money or logins. Report the account to the platform.

## How FXD publishes signals

- Every setup has an entry zone, stop, targets, risk-to-reward and trigger. See [how to read a gold trade signal](https://fxdaily.news/blog/how-to-read-a-gold-trade-signal).
- The weekly outlook goes up on Sunday and a daily brief on weekdays, with news times in [Pakistan time](https://fxdaily.news/blog/us-economic-news-times-pakistan-time).
- Weekly levels are based on EFMS TRADE's published analysis, credited in every post. The stops and risk-to-reward are our own.
- Everything is free and for education. Read the [risk warning](https://fxdaily.news/risk).
